Welcome to the Cloud: Achieving Life/Work Balance
V3 Systems has given life and clarity to a concept that has bewildered many: the Cloud. While in college I remember learning about Mesospheric, Stratospheric, and Tropospheric clouds, so I wondered whether V3 Systems’ cloud products involved a solution to track the weather patterns. That was me a few months ago. Today, after working in the Cloud with V3 Systems and experiencing the guaranteed performance, availability, and high utilization of their Desktop Computing Cloud, I know firsthand it is much cooler than riding through turbulence in a Boeing 747 through atmospheric clouds. As an added bonus, I now have the ability to spend more time with my family and friends throughout the United States without sacrificing productivity at work. There are no words to describe this feeling of freedom in the Cloud.
In an Internet-based world, security has become imperative. Companies and individuals have sensitive documents and data that need to be saved and emailed in a safe environment and that also need to be accessible 24/7 at your finger tips. With the busy lives we live, commuting to different places day in and day out -- at work, running errands, and spending time with our family and friends -- we are constantly on the move. A few years back, WIFI was the answer. Today, the downside of relying on WIFI signal is that it is not secure; someone may borrow your identity and live a life you did not know you wanted.
Finding a secure wireless network in Utah, Arkansas,
Texas, California, Florida, New York and even Cusco, Hong Kong and Tokyo, is not always convenient, or at least I used to think that. With V3 Systems’ Desktop Cloud Computing technology, I can leave sensitive documents and information on my desktop at work – hosted on a secure V3 appliance – which follows me and allows me to access it literally anywhere. It is kind of like the clouds above us, providing us constant reassurance with precipitation or shade all day long. I can be sitting in a café in Paris, France, enjoying a cappuccino and there is a Tropospheric cloud above me to provide shade while I log on to my secure desktop in Salt Lake City, UT. John Doe cannot access my information to become moi. C'est magnifique! I can travel throughout the world sharing lifetime memories with my family and friends while being productive in a secure environment without delay.
This is a win-win option for a company as well. With the Desktop Cloud Orchestrator™ (V3 DCO) IT Administrators are provided with a simple user-friendly interface for managing dedicated virtual desktop pools on V3 Systems’ appliance(s). Access to your data is ensured through enhanced failover functionality via V3’s Optimized Desktop Allocation™ (V3 ODA). I am sure you are thinking what I am thinking… how can this get any better?
In V3’s culture, we are always looking forward to that next idea that will bring unforeseen technology to life, making the impossible now possible. V3 Systems is similar to atmospheric clouds in the sense that clouds move at the speed and direction of the prevailing winds, at the altitude where the clouds are occurring. They are never stagnate and are always creating new formations. At times, the formations look similar, but if you look at the small details of how they are formed, there is always a story to be told.
V3 has an amazing story, one that started with two people at Einstein Bagels coming together with a vision and 2 years later they have a strong team of individuals who have developed innovative products that are changing the Desktop Cloud Computing industry. In short, the particulates of V3’s clouds move at the speed and direction of the prevailing technology winds, at an elevated altitude that enables the team to see the next opportunities that lie ahead. V3 Systems’ culture is founded on “thought leadership”, making each formation cooler and better, with a technology vision that becomes the backbone foundation for any IT infrastructure. V3 also restores the balance that we seem to have lost over the past few years, with technology that provides us the freedom to spend time with our friends and family again without sacrificing work.
Now my only question is… how can anyone live without this?
